Lane Steel was born in Rexburg, Idaho and grew up just outside of Idaho Falls, Idaho, on the family farm. Lane has spent most of his life in Idaho. Lane started his professional career with a national brokerage firm as a financial adviser in 2004. He and his family moved from Pocatello, Idaho to Rexburg, Idaho for this great opportunity. Lane's family helped settle Plano, ID an area west of Rexburg. Lane was excited to start his career where his father had been raised. Lane has been very successful as a financial adviser. He earned many awards and was asked to assist in the training of other advisers. Lane furthered his knowledge and experience as he joined three other firms.
Lane always desired to have his own business and took the opportunity to work for himself creating Steel Financial Strategies with the independent firm of Independent Financial Group. Lane has always enjoyed helping people in their retirement planning and helping people reach their serious long-term financial goals. He has made it his passion to help people create the best income strategies possible in the retirement years. He is excited to offer this in a setting that is free of corporate bias.
Lane and his wife Robyn, have seven children. They enjoy the outdoors and spending time together. A favorite activity for Lane and his boys is to play “cowboy.” They join any cattle roundup they can find. The entire family spends time together riding horses, camping, fishing, and motor biking. Lane and his family also run and operate several small businesses including Augusta Lawn Care of Rexburg, SteelCo, Yellowstone Rental Properties, and Steel JT Farms. Lane and his family have increased their Yellowstone Rental Properties to include some holdings in Alabama. Because of this expansion the family has gained a new love for the Gulf Coast and spending time on the beach. Although Lane loves to work and play with him family in these endeavors, he most enjoys working with his clients to solve for their financial needs.
